Established in Johnson County, TN, the Alliance of Citizens Together Improving Our Communities (A.C.T.I.O.N.) is funded by federal and state grants to bring together anti-drug stakeholders to create a healthy community by strengthening individual and community assets and eliminating the use of drugs and resulting destructive behaviors. The Beginning: For almost two years, the Coalition was sustained strictly through volunteers. In 2004, we were awarded the Drug-Free Communities Grant resulting in three full-time staff members to help facilitate Coalition efforts and coordinate volunteers for events and activities. Angela Wills is the Executive Director, Mary Roark is Assistant Director, and Denise Woods is the Administrative Assistant. |
