Volunteer Center

 

The Volunteer Center of Mountain City/Johnson County serves as a headquarters for recruiting volunteers in the community. We work in partnership with the local schools, churches, and service organizations to provide them with a pool of volunteers whose interest and skills can fill their specific needs.

The Johnson County Volunteer Center, in collaboration with America’s Promise, instill the five promises in the lives of the youth of Johnson County.

· Opportunities to Serve

 

 

 

The Johnson County Volunteer Center  has in the past worked with AmeriCorps members to provide service learning projects to the youth in our community. These projects let the children learn about their community and its needs, and they get an opportunity to help fulfill those needs.  They also provide mentor/tutoring in the schools and help with after school and summer youth camps.

· The Volunteer Center and the A.C.T.I.O.N. Coalition recently merged together to make a difference in the lives of the people of Johnson County.
